1:1 Therapy & Coaching
New Relationship Patterns after Power & Control
-
A traditional, Western psychotherapy model has roots in capitalist white supremacy, which can be felt in a very pathologizing model of “healing.” It’s very “good/bad,” “right/wrong,” with “right” being a model of health centered in whiteness and privilege.
A model of healing centered in collective liberation looks not only at internal factors (the nervous system, emotions, inner parts, etc.), but it greatly factors in the systems we are a part of (political, cultural, oppressive, etc.).
Plainly, if we are only looking at internal factors that may have led to “anxiety” without also looking at the traumatizing impact of an oppressive political system, especially for marginalized folx, that’s a problem.
To stay aligned with a liberation-centered model of healing, I do my absolute best to keep checking in with my own biases rooted in privilege. I do this mostly through trainings, supervision, and regular peer consultations.

When looking at therapeutic modalities, I use approaches that:
are based in the root cause (body, nervous system, systemic issues) rather than symptoms only
are non-pathologizing
address our innate connection with nature,
are rooted in collective liberation & anti-oppression
Examples of modalities include:
Somatic Experiencing®
Parts Work
Attachment & attunement based methods
Nature-based methods
Working with Archetypes to help us access exiled parts of ourselves
Invitations to bring in our cultural spiritual and magical practices

Finding my unique, sovereign connection with spirituality — after healing from religious and new-age spiritual trauma — has been a major factor in my healing.
Please know that spirituality does NOT have to come into play with any healing practice we do. And also know that you are 100% welcome to bring any type of religious, spiritual, ancestral, or cultural practice that’s important to you, or that you’d like to explore.
Trauma not only disrupts our connection with ourselves and with each other, but also from a sense of spirit, connection with nature, with oneness, or however you like to think of it. Rebuilding this connection in a way that’s authentic to you can bring lots of healing and life force energy to a trauma healing path.
I myself don’t identify with a particular religion, though I do draw from my Celtic roots with Celtic Paganism and Druidry (very nature-based… I talk to the grass, to the animals, and to my Guides, particularly The Morrigan 🐦⬛🗡️)
Psychotherapy
In my clinical therapy, my focus is on helping my clients resolve the deepest root cause of old relationship patterns based in abuse & complex trauma, and to create new attachment patterns for fulfilling relationships. I do this with:
50-Minute Session: $170
75-Minute Session: $255

Therapeutic Coaching
Therapeutic Coaching is a service offered to folx who don’t reside in TN, AND who either already have a clinical therapist or do not need clinical support. Same focus, goals, and methods as listed above.
50-Minute Session: $170
75-Minute Session: $255

In actual therapeutic practice, there’s not a difference. Both of my clinical + coaching clients work with me on goals of healing complex trauma and creating new relationship patterns based in safety, reciprocity, and sovereignty.
My clinical work allows me to add a diagnosis to the treatment record, if the client wishes, usually for the purposes of being able to use their insurance.
Clinical work also allows me to work with clients whose symptoms are more acute (suicidal, self-harm, etc.), as I’m in closer proximity (TN residents only), and because being a part of a clinical team can more easily allow me to work with a treatment team or hospital staff.
Coaching may be a good fit for folx who already have clinical support, or who have enough capacity and inner/outer resources to do somatic therapies without needing a close-proximity practitioner.
Often, my coaching clients live out of state or the US, or they’re already a part of my online programs and wish to delve into deeper 1:1 work.
*It’s still possible to work with me as a coaching client if you’re dealing with high-acuity symptoms, as long as we create a care plan for nearby supports and resources, and as long as we maintain very clear communication. Sometimes, there’s not an aligned resource nearby, and it can be more helpful than harmful to work with someone who understands specific types of trauma, even if they live far away.

I do not accept or bill insurance for either clinical therapy or coaching. However, you may use your HSA or FSA savings accounts for either therapy or coaching.
For clinical therapy, I would be happy to provide you with a superbill to turn into your insurance carrier if they reimburse for out-of-network services. *Be advised that a superbill requires a diagnosis. I would be happy to talk with you about the potential benefits and harms of documenting a diagnosis on your permanent health record.

Both! For both therapy and coaching, I offer either in-person or virtual sessions via a HIPPA compliant system.
My home office is in East Nashville; address and parking information provided upon scheduling.
-
YES — within both therapy and coaching, I strive to maintain the highest standards of privacy.
Both services are held on the HIPPA compliant EHR (electronic health record) system, Simple Practice, and each come with forms for you to look over and sign (Privacy Practices, Practice Policies, and Informed Consent).
*Some of my group therapy and coaching containers may be held on Zoom, for which I have signed a HIPPA BAA (Business Associate Agreement), which configures my account for HIPAA compliance. I also strive to maintain best practices for HIPPA compliance if using Zoom, such as using passwords and waiting rooms.
-
Yes! Both psychotherapy and therapeutic coaching allow for you to do any and all of my other programs, as long as we:
Go over any potential risks and pitfalls that might damage any of our 1:1 work
Review and agree to all ethical boundaries involved in being in multiple containers held by me
Maintain, clear and open communication to ensure that being in multiple containers enhances, rather than hinders, our therapeutic goals
As long as it feels good, aligned, and safe, I hugely welcome my clients to experience the healing power of community, whether through my own containers or others!

I do my best to position my prices within an accessible range congruent with my level of training, experience, and longevity in the field.
Session fees are not only for the time we meet, as they also are in exchange with the time I spend in training, research, and documentation.
In my ever-evolving effort to maintain a liberation-centered private practice that doesn’t involve billing insurance, I offer a number of sliding scale + pro-bono positions for those who face systemic oppression. Clients who are able to pay full-price fees help greatly in subsidizing the cost for folx who need sliding rates.

I do not see families, so I would be happy to refer you to someone who does.
I do see couples + poly/ENM relationships on a case-by-case basis. I will NOT do relational therapy where there is domestic violence present, as relational therapy is often weaponized by the abuser, potentially creating an even more unsafe environment for the partner(s).
If you believe you may be in a domestically violent situation, feel free to reach out to me here for resources or to chat about potential 1:1 sessions instead.

I help with issues specifically related to / rooted in the effects of trauma, relational issues, and nervous system function (systemic, generational, & complex trauma, domestic violence, family boundary issues, etc.).
If we’re looking at the DSM, this may cover diagnoses such as PTSD or any of the mood + anxiety + depression disorders, aside from psychotic features.
I do not specialize in ADHD, Autism spectrum, OCD, psychosis, or any issue rooted in purely neurological functioning.
*If you have any of the above issues, it’s possible that we can still work together; this would usually work best if you work in tandem with another therapist or specialist in these areas.
While I do recognize the inherent pathologizing problems with a diagnostic system, I also believe in the both/and; as in, different issues need different approaches. I am committed to working with you to help you get the exact help you need!
APPROACH
From 1:1 sessions to retreats, book clubs, witch parades & beyond, here are the pillars of my approach to healing the deepest root cause of oppressive-based relationship patterns…for GOOD.

We are mammals, which means we are social; we are not meant to heal on an island.
Some of the most healing mechanisms on Earth are simply circling together, rhythming together, and seeing + being seen. That’s it.
Trauma has a way of propelling us toward isolation, which makes everything worse. By growing our capacity to connect, be in togetherness, and find our own unique boundaries that promote intimacy, we tap into the most innate healing available.
Since trauma is relational, and our core mission is helping you heal relationship patterns, all of our programs have elements of connection with others, with self, with nature, and with the All.
